Das Metall wird nicht nur er. heblich härter, also widerstandsfähiger (nach der Brinellschen Methode gemessen ist die Härte etwa doppelt so gross wie die des Zinks), sondern auch die Schtagbiegefestigkeit ist um 50\, höher. Im Gegensatz zu den bisher hekanntgewordenen Zinklegierungen ist aber diese Legierung auch nach schwacher Anwärmung schmiedbar und lässt sich auch pressen und walzen. Diese Legierung kann also für viele technische Zwecke als Ersatz sowohl für Kupfer, wie auch für Messing und Bronze dienen. Als besonders brauchbar
