Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Impr gnierungsmittels für Ballonstoffe.
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Imprägnierungsmittels für Ballonstoffe aus Textilgewebe, das aus einer mit Rizinusöl versetzten Zelluloidlösung besteht. Erfindungsgemäss wird dieser Lösung Wachs zugesetzt. Ein mit dem neuen Imprägnierungsmittel behandelter Ballonstoff aus Textilgewebe weist gegenüber den bisherigen imprägnierten Ballonstoffen eine erhöhte Gasdichte und Weichheit sowie eine erhöhte Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Witterungseinflüsse auf.
Nach einem Ausführungsbeispiel des neuen Verfahrens werden zirka 80 Gewicbtsteile einer Zelluloidlösung mit 5 Teilen Rizinusöl, 10 Teilen Amylazetat, 10 Teilen Kollodium und etwa 4 Teilen in heissem Äther gelöstes reines Bienenwachs zu einer homogenen Masse gemischt, welche dann von Hand oder maschinell auf den zur Verwendung kommenden Baumwoll-usw. Stoff aufgestrichen wird.
Das Amylazetat sowie der heisse Äther, in welchem das Wachs gelöst wurde, vermitteln eine innige Verbindung von Zelluloid, Wachs und Kollodium, welche Bestandteile den Stoff völlig gas-und wasserdicht machen, wogegen das Rizinusöl zusammen mit dem Wachs denselben dauernd elastisch erhält.
Hiebei genügt es vollständig, den Stoff nur auf einer Seite mit genannter Mischung zu imprägnieren.

The invention relates to a method for producing an impregnating agent for balloon fabrics from textile fabric, which consists of a celluloid solution mixed with castor oil. According to the invention, wax is added to this solution. A balloon fabric made of textile fabric treated with the new impregnating agent has an increased gas density and softness as well as an increased resistance to the effects of weather compared to the previous impregnated balloon fabrics.
According to one embodiment of the new method, about 80 parts by weight of a celluloid solution are mixed with 5 parts of castor oil, 10 parts of amyl acetate, 10 parts of collodion and about 4 parts of pure beeswax dissolved in hot ether to form a homogeneous mass, which is then mixed by hand or machine to use coming cotton etc. Fabric is painted on.
The amyl acetate and the hot ether in which the wax was dissolved mediate an intimate combination of celluloid, wax and collodion, which components make the material completely gas-tight and waterproof, whereas the castor oil together with the wax keeps it permanently elastic.
