Description

Process for the softening of textiles made from cellulose synthetic silk. Many Fiber materials, in particular synthetic fibers, have something that makes them difficult to use poor suppleness and softness, and often is already pliable in itself and soft materials would like an increase in these properties.

It has now been found that textiles made from cellulose rayon can be used excellent softness and suppleness aqueous Isösüngen of salts of sulfonic acids of higher molecular weight, d. H. 8 or more Aliphatic or higher molecular weight aliphatic radicals containing carbon atoms, mixed aliphatic-a.romatic compounds treated.

It has already been suggested that TürhischrotÜle be used as emollient To use funds for fibrous materials. However, Turkish reds are not real sulfonic acids, but sulfuric acid ester. That just the water-soluble salts of real sulfonic acids from the organic compounds mentioned, the textiles are technically particularly valuable Would confer properties could not be inferred from the literature. Her Use has the advantage over the use of Tür'kischrotöle that Fibers of a particularly soft and smooth handle can be obtained. One also has even when wet spinning flax or other textile fibers the one used for moistening Small quantities of organic sulfonic acids are added to the water. Here are the raw fibers transferred to a state that makes them particularly suitable for the spinning process. In the present case, however, it is a matter of already spun fiber materials, d. H. Yarns or fabrics, made from regenerated cellulose with the salts of the aforesaid Treat stdfonic acids. In this way, the textile material is given a permanent one and particularly high softness and suppleness.

It has also been proposed to use stdfunding products from oils or fats or their salts together with the usual impregnating agents, such as paraffins, oils or fats, to be used for treating textiles. Here the sulphonation products mentioned serve only ] I do that to bring water-insoluble impregnating agent into solution. In the present case In contrast to the known procedure, however, it is a matter of the sulfonic acids for yourself 'too. use to give the textiles a high level of softness and suppleness to lend: -The use of sulfonic acids prepared according to patent 542 048 of aliphatic alcohols containing more than 5 carbon atoms is used herein Case not claimed.

Beispiel i .Example i.

In a solution containing 1 g water = 1 contains the monosodium salt of Sulfopalmitinsä.ure, is treated rayon 2o to 6o minutes at 5o °, spun and dried. The artificial silk treated in this way has a very soft and pleasant feel. Example @ 'Iscosckunstseidestränge are üi a solution containing 5 g of the triethanolamine salt of palmitovlhenzenesulfonic acid per liter of water, treated for 20 minutes at 50 to 55 minutes, then spun and dried. In this way, an artificial silk of great dexterity is obtained.
