Gemäss der Erfindung wird ein Filz aus Federn hergestellt, u. zw. in der Weise, dass die Daunen oder gewonnenen Federfahnen zu Filz verpresst werden. Entweder von Hand aus oder mittels einer Abreissmaschine werden die Federfahnen vom Federkiel entfernt und die so gewonnenen Federfahnen entsprechend verfilzt. Als Rohmaterial eignen sich die Federn aller Haus-und Wildvögel.
