Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Process for the manufacture of women's hats.
It is known to produce the stumps for the production of women's hats in a wide variety of shapes and to adapt them to the shape of the head of the wearer by appropriate shaping. The hat stumps must be made correspondingly large and long in order to enable the production of the most varied hat shapes, but often more or less large edges were cut away as waste.
It has now been found that hats or hat shapes can advantageously be produced if the usual hat stumps are cut into two or more identical parts and the stump parts thus obtained are used to shape women's hats. As a result, several hats are made from the original hat stump instead of a woman's headgear. One obtains two or more parts from a hat stump, which can be adapted very well to the shape of the head of the wearer, but which produce little waste. Both material and labor are saved. Many more shapes can be made from these stump parts than from the whole stump.
