Verfahren zur Herstellung eines flortragenden, teppichähnlichen Belages
EMI1.1
deren obere Scheitel bzw.

EMI1.1
whose upper apex or arches result in a closed surface. By sewing the free ends of the lines 6, the ropes are fixed to one another, but they can also be connected to one another at different points.
The carpet surface formed in this way is already very soft in itself and gives a good appearance. However, in order to improve these properties even more, according to FIG. 6, the vertices 8 of the waves 7 are sheared off completely or partially so that the individual threads of the cords are cut and their cut surfaces form the top of the covering. This creates a particularly beautiful effect of the carpet-like covering.
The method according to the invention can be used for the production of single or multi-colored coverings. The method described can be modified in such a way that, for. B. fibers, yarns, hair or fabric can be used as a pile instead of cords.
Instead of gauze, tulle, fabric or paper can serve as the carrier material, but the carrier material can also be omitted under certain circumstances, in which case the material forming the pile is stitched without carrier material and thus combined into a coherent structure. Instead of the lines, cords or soft wires can also be used.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A process for the production of a pile-bearing, carpet-like covering, characterized in that parallel cords (2) or the like forming the pile are placed on elements (4) of the base which extend at a distance from this and are attached to them, whereupon these elements be pushed together in the deck level and connected to one another.
