In der Zeichnung ist ein, im Sinne dieser Neuerung ausgeführter Deckelverschluss dargestellt, und zwar zeigt Fig. 1 den Querschnitt durch das Rohr mit dem eingesetzten Deckel, während Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht darstellt.
Der unter Zwischenlage einer Dichtung c in die Muffe e zu pressende Deckel biset mit dem der Erfindung gemäss geformten Verschlussbügel f ausgerüstet, welcher durch den als Schraubenspindel ausgebildeten Stiel 9 im Deckel verdrehbar geführt ist und mittels der mit Handgriff versehenen Mutter li auf- und niedergeschraubt werden kann. Der Deckel wird mit dem Bügel in der Stellung f1 (Fig. 2) eingesetzt und nach Verdrehung des Bügels in die Stellung/ durch Hochschrauben des letzteren dicht eingepresst.
Um das Einrosten des Gewindes 9 möglichst hintanzuhalten, wird dasselbe zweckmässig als sogenanntes Schndrigewinde mit geringer Gangtiefe und bedeutender Ganghöhe ausgeführt.
