  Einrichtung zur B e t ä t i g u n g d e s A b l a ss v e n t i l e s v o n B a d e w a n n e n.

  Facility to operate th e s abl a ss v e n t i l e s v o n B a d e w a n n e n.

The invention relates to a device for actuating the drain valve of bathtubs and consists in the fact that the loop provided on the valve spindle and encompassing the pin of the crank used to actuate the valve with clearance is directed obliquely upwards in the sense of the opening movement of the crank, in order to lift and lower to initiate the valve when the crank is outside the dead position.

The object of the invention is illustrated in the drawing, for example, namely Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the same, while Fig. 2 shows the partial cross section along the line A-B of FIG.

The vertical pipe a is, as usual, constantly connected to the interior of the bathtub through the drain pipe c extending below the bottom of the bathtub b. so that the water level in the latter and in the pipe a is always the same. Dix, betided pipes a and c have a common valve d, whose hollow valve spindle e protruding into the pipe a with clearance serves as an overflow pipe in a known manner. The valve d is raised and lowered by a crank f, the pin of which engages with clearance in a loop g provided at the upper end of the valve spindle e transversely to this.

The axis h of the crank f protrudes, as usual, through the side wall of the bathtub b into the interior of the same, so that the handle i attached to this axis can easily be grasped by the bather. The invention is based on the fact that the loop g in the sense of the opening movement of the crank J is directed obliquely upwards so that the raising and lowering of the valve d is initiated when the crank f is outside its dead position. As a result, relatively little force is used to operate the valve d. The crank axis h is mounted in a tubular lateral extension k of a hood m screwed onto the upper end of the tube a.

The approach k is provided on its end protruding into the tub b with a thread on which one
