Es wurde bereits vorgeschlagen, elastische, dem natürlichen Kautschuk sehr nahestehende Substanzen in der Weise herzustellen, dass man Erythren (Divinyl) oder .-T-Dimethyl- butadien mit oder ohne Zusatz von Verdünnungsmittein oder katalytisch wirkenden Substanzen erwärmt.
Im weiteren Verfolg dieser technisch wertvollen Verfahren wurde die interessante Beobachtung gemacht, dass man ganz ähnliche Produkte erhält, wenn man statt Erythrenoder -Y-Dirnethylbutadien die iibrigcu Homologen des Erythrons verwendet und dass ganz generell Verbindungen vom Typus
