Schanzkorb.
EMI1.1

Entrenchment.
EMI1.1
Wire mesh or fabric of any kind, which is used in particular for the construction of thinnesses for the defying of rivers or the like.
The bulwark is made for use on the spot by using a metal mesh that has the right shape from the start. is bent together, so that the mesh is made into a completely or almost parallelopiped-shaped box, which is filled with stones, gravel, sand, etc. like the ordinary jumpsuits.
In the drawing, Fig. 1 shows a metallic wire intended for this purpose.
EMI1.2
also from several parts corresponding to the parts a, b shown in Fig. 1. c, d, e and, f, which are connected to each other by iron wire at the meeting edges \.
In order to form the bulwark, the wire frame is bent accordingly along the common edges or edges of the abutting surfaces and the free edges are tied together by means of an iron wire or the like.
In the case of the braid according to FIG. I, the cover sits on one of the longitudinal necks c and the two end faces b and d abut directly on the bottom a. However, these areas can also be lined up in a different arrangement.
It is also possible to produce a Schanx basket with a trapezoidal cross-section, which is particularly suitable for curved bulwarks. By appropriately dimensioning the angle between the side surfaces b and c, the Schanzkorh can be adapted to any desired curved shape without creating a gap between two adjacent Schanzkörbon. Even if the bottom a is trapezoidal, the bulwark can form a conical cladding, which can be used in many cases.
