Grate bar made of sieve plate for sorting grates.

In the previously known sorting grids with grate bars formed from sheet metal and performing longitudinal movements, the bars, since they do not have sufficient rigidity, have to have special support bodies on which the sieve is attached.

The invention allows the use of grate bars made of sieve plate without the support of special sieve carriers. This is achieved in that in the roof-like cross section of the grate bar, the perforated points are placed in the vicinity of the neutral bending plane and the unperforated points on both sides of this plane are placed on the outer edges of this cross section.

The drawings show: FIG. 1 a view of a sorting grate with longitudinally oscillating bars, FIG. 2 a flat bar plate, FIGS. 3 and 4 the grate in cross-section, the bars being shown in the outermost positions, while FIG. 5, 6 and 7 illustrate three embodiments of the grate bar in cross section.

The grate bars a (Fig. I) are set in the known longitudinally oscillating movement by means of the lever b, the positions and movements of the neighboring bars always being opposite to one another. This type of movement and also the known roof-like cross-sectional shape of the rods give the goods their transport and sorting movement.

The grate bars consist of perforated sieve plates, which are shaped like a roof, but the perforations are arranged according to the invention so that they lie near the neutral bending plane, while the unperforated edges on both sides of this plane are moved outwards, so that the sieve plate thereby a stable body with a high section modulus.

Claims (1)

**WARNUNG** Ende CLMS Feld Kannt Anfang DESC uberlappen**. The sieve plates can be designed with two or one row of holes, depending on whether they are to be used as a center bar or edge bar. In both cases, the unperforated strips form the outer ends of the cross-section of the support body.
