Description

Process for the production of a double or multi-layered all-metal cover for
Paper machines.
The double or multi-shot metal cloth for paper machines forming the subject of the parent patent no. 123232 is manufactured according to the invention in such a way that one and the same shot is entered two or more times in a row in the same compartment and between two entries on the side edge of the cloth one or more chains is tied to a kind of bar.
The drawing illustrates an embodiment of a metal cloth that can be produced by this method. al are the warp wires and bl are the weft wires, which according to the main patent are interwoven in such a way that the fabric is double (or more) cohesive, i.e. H. that two (or more) shots bl, bl are touching each other in the same compartment of the chain.
Such a metal cloth is produced in such a way that one and the same weft b1 is entered two or more times in succession into the same compartment formed by the warp a1 by means of a single guard or some other device. But so that the weft is not pulled out of the compartment again when it is reversed (and for this reason does not have to be held by the weaver) one or more chain wires i (the drawing shows, for example, three) are arranged on the side of the cloth with which the weft bl is tied off before it is reversed in that these warp wires i change the subject and the weft bl forms a kind of strip with the width k with them.
If such a bar is arranged only on one side of the screen cloth, the weft can be entered twice and, if arranged on both sides, as often as desired in the same compartment of the warp a1.
