Die Ausführung des Verfahrens geschieht in der für die Imprägnierung von Holz bekannten Weise. Nach dem Abkühlen des Holzes auf gewöhnliche Temperatur scheidet sich zunächst ein grosser Teil des Salzes aus. Die bei der Imprägnierung mit eingeführte Wassermenge verdunstet dann zum grossen Teil nach kurzer Zeit, die Salzlösung wird entsprechend konzentrierter und weitere Salzmengen gelangen zur Ausscheidung, die bei der erwähnten grossen antiseptischen Wirkung des genannten Salzes einen genügenden Schutz des Holzes gewährleisten.
