Maximalthermometer.

Maximum thermometer.
The present invention relates to a maximum thermometer in which a magnifying glass in the form of a rod is attached in the thermometer in front of the mercury thread, whereby the thread, which is otherwise difficult to see in the prism capillary, is greatly enlarged and can be clearly seen in every point of the capillary. and at the same time a large field of vision is offered.
The magnifying glass rod is characterized by a shallow groove r, which is located on the viewing side and runs through the entire length of the rod.
On the lower side there are feet f, through which the capillary is fixed.
This rod is inserted into the thermometer and placed in front of the mercury thread.
Fig. 1 shows the arrangement of the rod in the thermometer, Fig. 2 shows the cross section of the pre-magnifying glass rod.
In order to make the mercury fadon clearly visible on the maximum thermometer and to expand the visual surface, the various rod shapes known in optics have probably already been used, but for various reasons which cannot be stated here because of their spaciousness, they do not serve the intended purpose complied.
PATENT CLAIMS: l. Maximum thermometer with a magnifying glass rod in front of the mercury thread, characterized in that the rod has a shallow groove on the upper or viewing surface.
