Abstract

The mini-lift of the invention is a medical device for users who normally travel or live in very confined spaces and generally do not have installations for the disabled.

The mini lift 1 comprises a base 2 consisting of a column support connected to a pair of rear support legs 3 and a pair of front support legs 4 .

The rear support legs 3 have at the ends 12 wheels, while the front

Support legs 4 have 13 wheels at the ends.

The vertical column capable of moving the seat 8 in height comprises a fixed vertical column 5 with which, in conjunction with translational movement, it moves a movable vertical column 6 by means of an actuator 7.

A seat 8 is attached to the mobile column 6 in an easily detachable manner.

This connection between the mobile column 6 and the seat 8 is extremely tight, so that the person accommodated on the seat of the column 8 has his upper body almost on the front wall 17 of the mobile column 6 and his on the side walls 18 of the upright column legs holding the inner part of the thighs.

In this position, the disabled person can rest their feet on the special footrests 11 located above the rear wall 19 of the upright.

The center of gravity of the disabled person's body is therefore as close as possible to the center of gravity of the upright column 5, 6, so that an extreme stability of the mini lift 1 is achieved, even with minimal overhang of the legs 3 and 4. This minimal cantilever extension of the rear support legs 3 makes the Minilift 1 extremely manoeuvrable, even in the tightest of spaces.

Due to the minimal overhang of the front support legs 4, the mini lift is extremely compact.

The rear support legs 3 are separate and spaced far enough apart to enclose and conform to the side walls of the toilet bowl or plumbing fixture 23. This facility allows the disabled person accommodated on a special seat 9 for evacuation to approach a toilet and adjust the toilet seat to the correct height for their needs.

However, said mini-lift can be disassembled into its various components just as easily, since the seat 14 has a quick coupling of the seat 8 or 9; there is a 15-piece quick connector for the armrests 10; there is a 16-piece quick connector for the rear legs 3.

Finally, as clearly shown in Figure 13, this mini-lift 1 can be easily disassembled into its various parts and transported compactly in a general transport bag, also because of its light weight, so that it can be carried by the disabled person.

With said mini lift 1, a disabled person can easily carry out all movements that are generally required, such as from a bed 24, from a chair 22 or from a wheelchair 20, without having to rely on a professional assistant.
