Anzeigevorrichtung.

Display device.
The invention relates to an arrangement with full-view scales, such as such. B. be used for radio sets. In particular, the invention relates to a full-view scale in tabular form on which several wave ranges appear with station names printed on them.
There are circular full vision scales known (Austrian Patent No. 148357), in which both the setting range and the station being searched for are simultaneously indicated by a point of light or the like.
The aim of the invention is to transfer this expedient arrangement to full-view tables.
In order to achieve the aim of the invention, light-flooded glass rods are used, at the end of which the calibration mark appears. The arrangement is such that one glass rod is provided for each setting range (short, normal, long). These bars are combined to form a unit that is moved like a pointer over the scale surface. A light mark is assigned to each area, which are switched on one after the other with the area switch. Outwardly, this display device appears as an optically variable length. Arrangements are well known in which glass rods flooded with light are used to display individual stations (e.g. Austrian patent specification No. 145100 or American patent specification No. 1814403).
The present invention, however, relates to the use of light-flooded glass rods not only for the display of a station per se, but also for the distinctive display of the associated setting area, with only one glass rod being used per setting area.
The invention is explained on the basis of a figure which allows many modifications. Fig. 1 shows a plan view with a partially cut-off scale surface, Fig. 2 is the associated cross section and Fig. 3 is the detail view of a pointer part. In the chassis 1, the drive 2, driven by means of a button, moves with the roller 3; The latter is engaged by a disk 4 on which the cable drum J is attached. The front mounting of the tuning capacitors in the radio receiver is labeled 6. This cable drum 5 is connected to the tuning capacitor 6 and moves the display device of the full-view scale via intermediate links (not shown).
The latter consists essentially of a black rear wall 7 which is attached to the chassis, as well as of the cover plate 8 and the actual scale plate 9. The scale plate 9 is printed in the usual way with the station names, optionally in different colors; the faceplate 8 serves to give the print a better luminous effect. The scale plate 9 is illuminated from above with total reflection, and it represents 10 the housing for the flooding, which also serves as a reflector at the same time.
In Fig. 1 the upper part of the plates 8 and 9 is cut off, wherein
EMI1.1
and 9 moves the actual display device, which consists of the following parts: the pointer holder 11 has three lamp housings 12 from which three light channels made of glass rods 13 a, 13 b, 13 c protrude over part of the reading surface. The illumination of these light channels is done in a known manner by total reflection. The length of the glass rods 13 essentially corresponds to the distance to the slots 8. The three light channels are covered by a screen 14 which has markings 14 a, 14 b, 14 c over the ends of the light channels. These openings can also be highlighted in color.
The operation of this display device is briefly as follows. The drive 2 moves the cable drum 5 and at the same time the tuning capacitor 6 and via non-drawn intermediate links the actual display device 11, 12, 13, 14 upwards or downwards behind the printed scale surface. It is assumed that the radio set z. B. three waveband

and that with the range switch, one of the lights 12 is switched on alternately by a switching device not shown and coupled to it.
If the lamp 12 a is switched on, the light channel j a lights up; since it is beveled according to FIG. 3 at the end at J, it throws the light through the opening 14 a into the viewer's field of vision. If the drive is moved, the light mark 14 a in the light slit 8 a moves upwards or downwards and in this way marks the station set in each case and written in the left column. The light mark 14 a is preferably shaped so that it points to this station. The light slit 8b serves to display both the station columns written to the left of it and the mark 14b is also formed accordingly.
The mark 14 c moves in the light slit 8 c and is used to display the column of names written on the outside right. An advantageous arrangement has been made so that the marks 14 are kept in the same color as the name columns belonging to them.
In Fig. 3 it is drawn how the end of the glass rod 13 is beveled. The cut is preferably done in such a way that no sharp point is created. If, moreover, glass rods with a round cross-section are used, their magnifying effect supports the luminosity of the black surface.
In this way it is achieved in the simplest way in a table full view scale that both the set waveband and the desired station are designated with a single mark.
