Method of joining socket pipes.
The invention relates to a further development of the method according to patent no. 98946. In this method for connecting socket pipe, the pipe end pushed into the socket is provided with an outwardly directed beaded edge over which the free edge of the socket is canted, with the sealing Connection of the folded edge of the socket with the other pipe is connected by a weld seam.
In the endeavor. to achieve the softest possible edging of the free socket edge.
EMI1.1
cause can be avoided. is proposed according to the invention. to form the outwardly directed flanged edge of the inserted pipe end by folding its edge inward to form a tightly adjacent double flange.
As a result of this training of the outward bead of the inserted
EMI1.2
is edged, a circular arc-like surface, so that a gentle, gradual course of the flanging of the sleeve with simultaneous close contact with the flanged edge of the inserted pipe end is guaranteed. The gradual course of the flanging of the socket end offers a reliable guarantee that upsetting of the stone and changes in the cross-section of the wall thickness are completely excluded.
For the essence of the invention, it is irrelevant whether the double flange on the inserted pipe end is produced by flanging it twice or, for example, by a pressure acting in the direction of the pipe axis.
