ribs and their common carrier created.

The drawing shows in Fig. 1 a finned tube produced by this method and at the same time the simplest form of the device. which is used here. FIGS. 2 and 3 show a rib element in section and in plan, respectively.

With a single heating rib is designated, which consists of an annular disc a1 and the bead a2. Such a heating rib is pushed loosely onto the pipe b. then the flanged ring is pressed firmly against the pipe wall by means of the press rims c, dz which have one, two or more grooves, either with the pipe being rotated or the pipe being rotated with fixed rollers. It has been shown here that in both cases the heating rib a, which is initially rotatable on the pipe b, is attached to the pipe right from the start by the pressure exerted.

The rollers e, d press the flanged ring into the outer one after one or more turns around the tube b
 EMI1.3
tubes of any length can be formed.

The main advantage of the process consists in the good heat transfer from the Rchr b to the heating ribs a due to the intimate connection between the flanged ring and the tube. The finned tubes manufactured according to the previous methods were particularly effective in terms of heat transfer
 EMI1.4

It's clear. that he. without changing anything in the essence of the invention. the tough! the pressure rollers, which are used at the same time, can be changed as required. Likewise, the effective forms of the roles can be varied in many ways. so that instead of two grooves, as shown in FIG. 1, they press 3 or more grooves.
