Zweckmässig ist der horizontale Teil der Bajonettführung h etwas schräg angeordnet, so dass der Kupplungszapfen a erst dann bis zum Vorspringen des Bolzens d aus der Hülse b herausgedrückt wird, wenn der Brennstellenhahn vollständig geschlossen ist.
Die Wirkungsweise der Vorrichtung ist folgende :
Angenommen die-im vorliegenden Beispiele-drei für die Betätigung der Anlage zur Verfügung stehenden Schlüssel befinden sich auf den Brennstellenhähnen 1, 2, 3, u. zw. der Hauptschlüssel auf dem Brennstellenhahn 1 und die beiden Nebenschlüssel auf den Brennstellenhähnen 2 und 3. Um die Brennstelle 1 benutzen zu können, wird vorerst der Brennstellenhahn 1 geöffnet. Die Schlüsselhandhabe befindet sich dann im vertikalen Schlitz der Bajonettführung h, so dass der Hauptschlüssel abgezogen werden kann.
Der Hauptschlüssel wird nun auf den Haupthahn 4 aufgesteckt und dieser geöffnet, wodurch den Brennstellen Brennstoff zuströmt. Die beiden Brennstellen 2 und 3 können mittels der Nebenschlüssel nach Belieben geöffnet oder geschlossen werden. Beim Abstellen der benutzten Brennstellen kann auch das Schliessen des Haupthahnes 4 nicht vergessen werden, da eine der Brennstellen ohne Schlüssel bleibt und die Flamme dieser Brennstelle erst dann ausgelöscht werden kann, wern der auf dem Haupthahn 4 sitzende Hauptschlüssel auf ihren Hahn aufgesteckt wird, was aber ein Schliessen des Haupthahnes und dann das Abziehen des Hauptsehlüssels voraussetzt, um ihn. zum Schliessen des betreffenden Brennstellenhahnes frei zu bekommen.
Nimmt man jedoch den Hauptschlüssel vom geschlossenen Haupthahn 4 nicht ab, bleibt zwar der besagte Brennstellenhahn offen, jedoch kann aber auch der Haupthahn 4 nicht wieder geöffnet werden, da der Hauptschlüssel aus den an Hand der Fig. 1 erklärten Gründen unwirksam wurde. Erst nach der Betätigung des schlüssellosen Brennstellenhahnes wird der Hauptschlüssel-wieder zu einer einmaligen Betätigung des Haupthahnes geeignet.
Der Hauptschlüssel und die Nebenschlüssel können selbstverständlich in beliebiger Reihenfolge auf die Brennstellenhähne aufgebracht werden.
