Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Zündvorrichtungen für Gasöfen, insbesondere Gasbadeöfen jener Art, bei welchen die Weiterdrehung des Gashahnes über die Zündstellung hinaus solange gesperrt bleibt. bis durch die Wärmewirkung der Zündflamme diese Sperrung aufgehoben wird. Diese Einrichtungen haben den Zweck, das Ausströmen von Gas im Brenner nur dann zu ermöglichen, wenn die Zündflamme brennt, um Explosionsgefahr zu vermeiden. Nach der Erfindung wird dies dadurch erreicht, dass die Weiterdrehung des Gashahnes über die Zündstellung durch ein Glied verhindert wird, das durch eine Klemmvorrichtung solange gesichert wird, bis durch die Wärmewirkung der Zündflamme oder eines Teiles derselben die Klemmung aufgehoben und das Sperrglied freigegeben wird.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes ist in der Zeichnung dargestellt. In die Gaszuleitung 1 ist der Hahn 2 bekannter Bauart eingebaut, der sowohl die Zuleitung 3 zu dem im Badeofen 4 liegenden Brenner, wie auch die Zuleitung 5 zur Zündflamme regelt. Der Hahn 2 trägt einen Handgriff 6 und ist mit einer Scheibe 7 versehen, die mit dem Handgriff 6 sich mitdreht und in der Zeichnung nicht dargestellte, auf die Hahnstellung bezügliche Aufschriften trägt.
Die Zündleitung j trägt einen Zündkopf 8, der gemäss der Erfindung zwei knapp nebeneinander liegende Ausströmöffnungen 9 und 10 aufweist. Von der einen, 9, wird die Zündflamme 11 für den Brenner gespeist, während ein Teil der Zündflamme durch die zweite Ausströmöffnung 10 seitlich zur Wirkung kommt.
