Abstract
Reivindicación 1: Un microbio modificado que comprende una o más modificaciones genéticas en un gen que codifica el polipéptido NifA, donde el microbio modificado fija nitrógeno en presencia de nitrógeno y oxígeno exógenos. Reivindicación 2: El microbio modificado de la reivindicación 1, donde el polipéptido NifA codificado por el gen con una o más modificaciones genéticas muestra una mayor activación transcripcional de los genes de fijación de nitrógeno en presencia de nitrógeno y oxígeno, en relación con la activación transcripcional de los genes de fijación de nitrógeno de un polipéptido NifA de tipo salvaje en presencia de nitrógeno y oxígeno. Reivindicación 3: El microbio modificado de la reivindicación 1, donde el nitrógeno exógeno comprende amonio, nitrato, urea o glutamina. Reivindicación 4: El microbio modificado de la reivindicación 3, donde el polipéptido NifA codificado por el gen con una o más modificaciones genéticas supera la inhibición del amonio en presencia de nitrógeno. Reivindicación 84: Un método para aumentar la cantidad de producción de amonio de un microbio, el método comprende modificar el microbio para incluir una o más modificaciones genéticas en un gen que codifica un polipéptido NifA, donde el microbio modificado fija el nitrógeno en presencia de nitrógeno y oxígeno.
