Abstract

Reivindicación 1: Una célula de planta mutante no natural o transgénica que comprende: (i) un polinucleótido que comprende, que consiste o que consiste esencialmente en una secuencia que codifica un miembro de la familia CLC de canales de cloruro y que tiene al menos 60% de identidad de secuencia con la SEQ ID Nº 1 o SEQ ID Nº 2 o SEQ ID Nº 3 o SEQ ID Nº 4 o SEQ ID Nº 10 o SEQ ID Nº 11; (ii) un polipéptido codificado por el polinucleótido establecido en (i); (iii) un polipéptido que comprende, que consiste o que consiste esencialmente en una secuencia que codifica un miembro de la familia CLC de canales de cloruro y que tiene al menos 60% de identidad de secuencia con la SEQ ID Nº 5 o SEQ ID Nº 6 o SEQ ID Nº 7 o SEQ ID Nº 12 o SEQ ID Nº 13 o SEQ ID Nº 14; o (iv) un constructo, vector o vector de expresión que comprende el polinucleótido aislado establecido en (i), y en donde la expresión o la actividad del polinucleótido o el polipéptido se modula en comparación con una planta de control que contiene una célula de planta de control y en donde los niveles de biomasa en la planta mutante, no natural o transgénica que contiene la célula de planta mutante, no natural o transgénica se modulan en comparación con la planta de control que contiene la célula de planta de control.
