Abstract

Un gen PIN4 modificado, el tipo silvestre del cual es como se identifica en la SEC ID No. 1, que codifica la proteína de la SEC ID NO: 5, o el tipo silvestre del cual codifica una proteína que tiene una similitud de secuencias de por lo menos 80% con la SEC ID No. 5, gen PIN4 modificado el cual codifica una proteína que comprende un cambio de aminoácido como resultado de la modificación, y proteína modificada la cual es capaz de inducir el cuajado de frutos partenocárpicos cuando está presente en una planta. La invención también se refiere a plantas y frutos que llevan el gen. Estas plantas tienen la capacidad de cuajado de frutos partenocárpicos y los frutos no contienen semillas. La invención se refiere además al uso del gen en la reproducción y producción de plantas con capacidad de cuajado de frutos partenocárpicos.
