Abstract

La presente hace referencia a una composición que comprende un sistema antioxidante, en particular para el uso como una composición alimenticia. En un primer aspecto, la presente proporciona una composición que comprende un sistema antioxidante que se obtiene mediante un método de extracción que comprende las etapas de i) poner en contacto un agente de extracción apolar con una combinación de polvos de plantas para preparar un extracto, donde la combinación de polvos de plantas comprende: (1) jengibre en polvo que tiene un tamaño de partícula de menos de 800 mm, (2) salvia en polvo que tiene un tamaño de partícula de menos de 500 mm, (3) romero en polvo que tiene un tamaño de partícula de menos de 500 mm, donde el jengibre en polvo (G), la salvia en polvo (S) y el romero en polvo (R) están presentes en una relación en peso de G : S : R = 1 a 4 : 1 a 3 : 1 a 3; y ii) de manera opcional, por separado el extracto de al menos parte del residuo de los polvos de plantas.
