Abstract

La presente describe un proceso para recuperar metano a partir de corriente de gas que incluye metano y etileno, que incluye la etapa de absorción y adsorción que incluye el contacto de la corriente de gas de metano y etileno con un agente de absorción y adsorción con menor afinidad por el metano que por el etileno, lo que resulta en la absorción y adsorción de etileno y 0 a 90% de metano por el agente de absorción y adsorción y en una corriente de gas que incluye metano en una concentración de 10 a 100% en base a la concentración de metano en la corriente de gas que se somete a la etapa de absorción y adsorción; y una etapa de desorción que incluye desorber el etileno absorbido y adsorbido y opcionalmente metano absorbido y adsorbido que da lugar a una corriente de gas que incluye etileno y opcionalmente metano.
