Abstract

Se presenta un nuevo ciclo de APB que trata gas natural contaminado con nitrógeno (N2) a relativamente alta presión, y genera un primer gas producto enriquecido en componentes menos fuertemente adsorbidos como por ejemplo, N2, y otros (por ejemplo helio = He), y un segundo gas producto enriquecido en componentes más fuertemente adsorbidos, que incluyen por ejemplo CH4 y otros (por ejemplo etano = C2H6). El nuevo ciclo de APB se caracteriza porque presenta un bajo consumo de energía y requiere una cantidad baja de adsorbente lo que permite utilizar adsorbedores relativamente pequeños. En resumen, un proceso de APB de cinco adsorbedores separa una mezcla gaseosa en un primer gas producto enriquecido en un primer componente menos fuertemente adsorbido, y un segundo gas producto enriquecido en componentes más fuertemente enriquecidos. El segundo gas producto puede ser obtenido combinando los efluentes de una serie de pasos discretos.
