Abstract

La presente describe un proceso para tratar un suministro de hidrocarburos pesados en un reactor de líquido para hidroprocesamiento. El suministro pesado tiene un contenido alto de asfaltenos, una viscosidad alta, densidad alta y un punto de ebullición final alto. El hidrógeno se suministra en una cantidad equivalente de al menos 160 litros de hidrógeno por litro de suministro, l/l (900 scf/bbl). El suministro se pone en contacto con hidrógeno y un diluyente que comprende, consiste prácticamente en o consiste en la corriente de producto reciclado. El producto hidroprocesado tiene un mayor valor para las refinerías, tal como un suministro para una unidad de craqueo catalítico fluido (FCC).
