Abstract
Un método para remover rebabas del interior de revestimientos ranurados de metal, exponiendo a las rebabas a una llama de gas de alta intensidad que oxide o incinere efectivamente las rebabas, sin inducir niveles de temperatura indeseados al metal de base del revestimiento ranurado. Esto se logra usando un ensamblaje de cabezal de antorcha con multiples boquillas de antorcha de gas dispuestas radialmente alrededor del perímetro circunferencial del cabezal de antorcha, de tal forma que el cabezal de antorchase pasa a través del interior del revestimiento ranurado, y las llamas se dirigen hacia la superficie interior del revestimiento. Se introduce oxígeno auxiliar a las salidas de las boquillas, resultando un amplio incremento de la velocidad e intensidad de la llama, ya su vez, un incremento de la temperatura de la llama. El oxígeno auxiliar puede introducirse a través de pasadizos anulares que rodean las boquillas, de tal forma que el oxigeno auxiliar forme efectivamente una cortina cilíndrica alrededor de la llama de cada boquilla.
