Abstract

La solicitud se refiere a un método para compensar las pérdidas de entalpía del gas de combustion en hornos de coque de ôrecuperacion de calorö, donde varias cámaras del horno de coque se unen para formar un banco de horno de coque, y donde el banco de horno de coque está conectado mediante un canal o canales de gas de combustion a una o varias caldera(s), y donde la operacion de las cámaras del horno de coque se ve interrumpida durante un determinado período de tiempo durante el cual se retira la torta de coque, y donde las cámaras individuales del horno de coque se mantienen calientes durante la interrupcion de la operacion por medio de al menos un quemador adicional calentado desde una fuente externa de modo que se provee un gas de combustion caliente que se origina a partir del gas de combustion de los quemadores adicionales aun durante la interrupcion de la operacion, y donde el flujo de calor que se reduce en comparacion con la operacion normal resulta compensado con al menos un quemador adicional de compensacion dispuesto en la parte exterior de las cámaras del horno de coque, de modo tal que la(s) caldera(s) sea(n) provistas de una cantidad de calor que es constante, en comparacion con la operacion normal. De esta manera, se pueden operar en forma economica las calderas que son típicamente utilizadas para la generacion de vapor.
