Abstract

Metodología y aparato para la deteccion objetiva de trastornos auditivos, mediante el registro de potenciales evocados de estado estable a estimulacion acustica simultánea por vía osea y aérea, para ser utilizado en recién nacidos. El aparato cuenta con los medios necesarios para la generacion independiente de dos estímulos sonoros diferentes, que se presentan al sujeto en forma simultánea a través de transductores electro-acusticos oseo y aéreo, la recogida sincronica de la actividad eléctrica cerebral del sujeto, la evaluacion continua del contacto de los electrodos, la medicion interactiva de los niveles de ruido ambiental y la transmision digital inalámbrica de la actividad bioeléctrica hacia una computadora. Dispone de una metodología propia para procesar y detectar estadísticamente los potenciales provocados por la estimulacion osea-aérea que brinda automáticamente un resultado final categorico, segun la presencia o no de un trastorno en la sensibilidad auditiva, el tipo de trastorno (conductivo o sensorineural) y la validez del resultado.
