Abstract
Se describen metodos para la deshidrogenacion simult nea de etilbenceno y etano en presencia de ox¡geno o dioxido de carbono por medio de un catalizador de oxido mixto de metales (OMM) o un catalizador de zirconia sulfatada con aditivo de litio para la preparacion de monomero de estireno a partir de benceno y etano. Una unidad de alquilacion produce etilbenceno a partir de etileno y benceno y una unidad de oxideshidrogenacion produce estireno y etileno a partir de etano, etilbenceno y un agente oxidante tal como ox¡geno o dioxido de carbono. Se separa el etileno producido en la unidad de oxideshidrogenacion y se lo alimenta a la unidad de alquilacion.
