Abstract
Método para identificar un polimorfismo o una mutacion en un genoma de un sujeto poliploide, que comprende comparar las secuencias de un ácido nucleico blanco de los genomas de dos o más sujetos poliploides y determinar el ligamiento entre uno o más nucleotidos variables en las secuencias y uno o más nucleotidos en un genoma específico de un sujeto poliploide, identificando de esa manera un polimorfismo o una mutacion en un genoma de un sujeto poliploide. La presente solicitud provee un método para producir una sonda o un cebador que comprende una secuencia capaz de alinearse o hibridizarse preferentemente o específicamente con un ácido nucleico que comprende un polimorfismo o una mutacion identificada mediante el método de la presente. La presente solicitud también provee el uso del método para determinar variaciones en poblaciones, asociaciones entre polimorfismos o mutaciones y características específicas, y en el mejoramiento.
