Abstract
Una aleacion de plomo calcio estano a la que se le agrega cobalto. La aleacion es util en la formacion de ánodos para ser utilizados en celdas de electrolisis. Las celdas de electrolisis que contienen las aleaciones de cobalto son particularmente adecuadas para la electrolisis de metales, tales como cobre, a partir de electrolitos de ácido sulfurico. Los ánados que contienen cobalto mejoran la eficiencia de la evolucion del oxígeno en el ánodo durante la electrolisis y reducen la corrosion del ánodo. Reivindicacion 1: Una aleacion de plomo estano caracterizada porque contiene más que 0% de un miembro seleccionado del grupo formado por calcio, bario y estroncio y que también contiene entre 0,005 y 0,300% de cobalto. Reivindicacion 2: La aleacion de la reivindicacion 1, caracterizada porque contiene de 0,03 a 0,10% de calcio, de 0,5 a 2,5% de estano y de 0,005 a 0,300% de cobalto.
