Abstract

Un aparato para deshidratar un líquido que contiene predominantemente materia solida de carbohidratos hasta obtener un polvo no pegajoso. El aparato consta de una cámara de deshidratacion por aspersion, en cuya parte superior está ubicado un elemento de aspersion capaz de atomizar, en forma de gotitas, líquido que contiene predominantemente materia solida de carbohidratos, un medio para suministrar un gas secante a las gotitas atomizadas para la deshidratacion parcial de las mismas en partículas humedas, un dispositivo de residencia para la post-cristalizacion de las partículas humedas recibidas desde la cámara de deshidratacion hasta obtener un polvo no pegajoso. El aparato consta además de un elemento de filtro dispuesto internamente en la cámara de aspersion y un medio para extraer el gas secante utilizado a través del elemento de filtro. El aparato es apropiado para tratar líquidos que tienen un alto contenido de carbohidratos tales como suero de leche y permeado de suero. También se divulga un proceso para producir polvos no pegajosos.
