Abstract
Para transmitir una senal de multiples portadores, un transmisor provee símbolos cero para subbandas de guarda, lleva a cabo la modulacion de OFDM, y filtra las muestras en el dominio del tiempo resultantes con un filtro de configuracion de pulsos. Para transmitir una senal de un solo portador, el transmisor particiona la senal de un solo portador en segmentos. Cada segmento atenuado se transforma del dominio del tiempo al dominio de la frecuencias para generar un correspondiente segmento en el dominio de las frecuencias con K símbolos. Para cada segmento en el dominio de las frecuencias, los símbolos correspondientes a las subbandas de guarda son puestos en cero. Cada segmento en el dominio de las frecuencias es seguidamente transformado desde el dominio de las frecuencias al dominio del tiempo para generar un correspondiente segmento en el dominio del tiempo. Puede haber o no un prefijo cíclico adjuntado a cada segmento en el dominio del tiempo. Cada segmento en el dominio del tiempo es filtrado con el mismo filtro de configuracion de pulsos para generar una forma de onda de salida para la senal de un solo portador.
