Abstract

Un método de fabricar un catalizador de cobalto, que comprende los pasos de formar una solucion acuosa de un complejo amino-cobalto, oxidar dicha solucion de manera tal que la concentracion de Co(III) en la solucion oxidada sea mayor que la concentracion de Co(III) en la solucion no oxidada, y luego descomponer el complejo amino-cobalto por calentamiento de la solucion a una temperatura entre 80 y 110sC durante tiempo suficiente para permitir que un compuesto insoluble de cobalto precipite a partir de la solucion. También se describen un intermediario de catalizador que comprende un compuesto de cobalto que tiene una fase de hidrotalcita Co (II)/Co (III) y una fase de espinela de cobalto Co3O4, donde la relacion de fase de hidrotalcita de cobalto:fase de espinela de cobalto es menor que 0,6:1, siendo dicha fase de hidrotalcita de cobalto y dicha fase de espinela de cobalto medidas por difractrometría de rayos X. Reivindicacion 23: Un método como se reivindica en cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 22, caracterizado porque comprende además el paso de reducir los compuestos de cobalto a cobalto metálico en una corriente de un gas con contenido de hidrogeno a una temperatura en el rango de 250- 600sC. Reivindicacion 25: El uso de un catalizador como se reivindica en la reivindicacion 24 caracterizado porque es para la síntesis de hidrocarburos a partir de un gas de síntesis que comprende hidrogeno y monoxido de carbono. Reivindicacion 27: Un intermediario de catalizador caracterizado porque comprende un compuesto de cobalto, donde dicho compuesto de cobalto comprende una fase de hidrotalcita Co (II)/Co (III) y una fase de espinela de cobalto Co3O4, donde la relacion de fase de hidrotalcita de cobalto:fase de espinela de cobalto es menor que 0,6:1, siendo dicha fase de hidrotalcita de cobalto y dicha fase de espinela de cobalto medidas por difractometría de rayos X.
