Abstract

Un método y aparato para asignar los procesos de solicitud de repeticion automática (ARQ, Automatic Repeat Request) y de solicitud de repeticion automática híbrida (H-ARQ, Hibrid Automatic Repeat Request) en la WTRU para soportar las transmisiones del enlace ascendente mejorado (EU, Enhanced Uplink). Después que se configuren los parámetros asociados a los procesos de ARQ y H-ARQ, la WTRU asignará un proceso de ARQ y H-ARQ para los datos seleccionados. Despues de transmitir los datos, la WTRU determinará si la informacion de retroalimentacion para los datos ha sido recibida. La WTRU liberará el proceso de ARQ y H-ARQ si un mensaje de reconocimiento (ACK, Acknowledgement) ha sido recibido, y retransmitirá los datos si un mensaje de no reconocimiento ( NACK, Non- Acknowledgement) o ninguna informacion de retroalimentacion ha sido recibida en un lapso de tiempo predeterminado mientras se incrementaba el contador de transmision en la WTRU. Cuando se haya alcanzado un límite de la transmision de ARQ y H-ARQ, la WTRU podrá descartar los datos o reiniciar la transmision. Un proceso asignado de ARQ y H-ARQ para la transmision de datos de prioridad más baja podrá ser asignado para la transmision de los datos de prioridad más alta cuando no haya un proceso de ARQ y H-ARQ.
