Abstract

Se revela una composición que es particularmente adecuada para uso en revestimiento de extrusión. La composición comprende un material polimérico con una reología tal que la inclinación o pendiente S de un gráfico log natural-log natural de módulo de pérdida (o G") contra log natural de módulo de almacenamiento (o G´) es mayor que [0,635* (índice de efusión) +13,2]/[índice de fusión)+ 16,6], y en donde el material polimérico tiene una fracción CDF RI menor a 0,23 de un cromatograma GPC que tiene un peso molecular por encima de 85.000 g/mol y una fracción CDF LS de más de 0,07 a un peso molecular GPC de 1,750.000 g/mol o mayor. Las composiciones exhiben menor angostamiento cuando se utilizan en revestimiento por extrusión y el angostamiento es independiente de la resistencia de fusión, facilitando de este modo procesos de extrusión mejorados.
