Abstract
Una disposición para refrigerar moldes en una máquina formadora de cristalería incluye un par de brazos de molde (12) montados sobre un pilar de articulación (16 o 104 o 130) para movimiento hacia y alejándose una de otra, y por lo menos una parte de molde (18) portada por cada brazo de molde y adaptada para cooperar mutuamente para formar un molde de pieza bruta o molde de soplado de cristalería. Cada parte de molde incluye por lo menos un pasaje de refrigerante que tiene una entrada y una salida dispuesta en su extremo de la parte de molde, y cada brazo de molde tiene pasajes de flujo de refrigerante de entrada (44, 52) y de salida (48, 56) operativamente acoplados a la entrada y la salida de la parte de molde montada sobre ese brazo. Una fuente de refrigerante líquido (72, 76) y un retorno de refrigerante líquido (74, 78) están conectados al pilar de articulación. Un primer pasaje de refrigerante (32, 34, 35) se extiende a través del pilar de articulación entre la fuente de refrigerante y los pasajes de flujo de entrada en los brazos de molde, y un segundo pasaje de refrigerante (36, 38, 39) se extiende a través del pilar de articulación entre los pasajes de flujo de refrigerante de salida en los brazos de molde y el retorno de refrigerante.
