Abstract
Se proveen métodos y dispositivos basados en reflectancia para determinar la concentración de un analito en una muestra fluida. Para poner en práctica los métodos del caso, se aplica una muestra fluida a una matriz impregnada con una disposición productora de senal. La disposición productora de senal produce un producto detectable en una cantidad proporcional a la cantidad de analito en la muestra. Una superficie de la matriz luego es iluminada y se obtiene de allí una medición de reflectancia, generalmente que sigue a un período de incubación predeterminado. Un componente óptico, preferiblemente el medio de iluminación o de detección de luz, también se emplea para obtener un valor de temperatura correspondiente a la temperatura ambiente de la matriz. Entonces se obtiene la concentración de analito de la muestra a partir de la medición de reflectancia usando un algoritmo que emplea el valor de temperatura establecido por un componente óptico. Los métodos y dispositivos del caso son adecuados para usar en la detección de una variedad e diferentes tipos de analitos fluidos, y son particularmente adecuados para usar para detectar la concentración de glucosa en sangre entera.
