Abstract
La invencion se refiere a un sistema de alcance para determinar la informacion de alcance de una nave que transporta un componente de un canal de comunicacion. Con el fin de proporcionar un sistema de alcance para determinar la informacion de alcance de un satélite que transporta un repetidor así como también con el fin de proporcionar un método del mismo que produce una suficiente precision sin causar mayores costos cuando se utilizan haces localizados angostos por el repetidor, un sistema de alcance de acuerdo con la invencion comprende una pluralidad de estaciones de recepcion en diferentes ubicaciones sobre la tierra donde cada estacion de recepcion se dispone para recibir una senal de referencia desde dicho componente; un medio de sincronizacion para proporcionar una base de tiempo sincronizado entre la pluralidad de estaciones de recepcion; un medio de cálculo para calcular dicha informacion de alcance de acuerdo con el tiempo de propagacion de cada senal de referencia recibida y con la base de tiempo sincronizado; donde por lo menos una estacion de recepcion comprende un receptor del tipo de correlacion para recibir la senal de referencia.
