Abstract

Un cable optico (1) para telecomunicaciones, que tiene valores de atenuacion y PMD bajos; dicho cable comprende un elemento central (4), una pluralidad de fibras opticas (3) y una capa de material polimérico (5), que carece de discontinuidades y que incorpora tanto al elemento central (4) como a las fibras opticas, estando dispuestas cada una de las fibras opticas (3) a lo largo de una trayectoria de hélice abierta, a lo largo de la cual tiene una torsion con un valor promedio de cero y un valor máximo local comprendido entre 0,05 vuelta/m y 1,5 vueltas/m.
