Abstract

Se trata de un proceso para formar espumas suaves que tienen una dureza Asker C de menos de aproximadamente 65, que comprende: (1) formar un materialpolimérico de fusion que comprende: (A) de 30 a 70 por ciento en peso combinado de los Componentes Ay B) y uno o más polímeros aromáticos de alquenilo y endonde por lo menos uno de los polímeros aromáticos de alquenilo tienen un peso molecula (Mp) de 100.000 a 500.000; y (B) de 30 a 70 por ciento en peso (basadoen el peso combinado de los Componentes A y B) de uno o más interpolímeros sustancialmente aleatorios que tienen un l2 de 0.1 a 50g/10min, y un Mp/Mn de 1.5 a20; que comprende (1) de 8 a 45 por ciento molar de las unidades poliméricas derivadas de: (a) por lo menos un monomero aromáticode vinilo o vinilideno, o (b)por lo menos un monomero de vinilo o vinilideno alifático o cicloalifático oculto, o (c) una combinacion de por lo menos un monomero de vinilo o vinilidenoaromático y por lo menos un monomero de vinilo o vinilideno alifático oculto, y (2) de 55 a 92 por ciento molar de unidades poliméricas derivadas de por lomenos una de etileno y/o alfa-olefina de C3-20 y (3) de 0 a 20 por ciento molar de unidades poliméricas derivada de uno o más monomeros polimerizablesetilénicamente insaturados diferentes aquellos derivados de (1) y (2); y (C) opcionalmente, uno o más agentes de nucleacion; y (D) opcionalmente, uno másaditivos diferentes; y (E) uno o más agentes de soplado presentes en una cantidad total de 0.4 a 5.0 gramos-moles por kilogramo (basado en el peso combinado delos Componentes A y B).
