Abstract

Una composicion biocida que comprende (a) una benzisotiazolinona de formula 1 y (b) un complejo metálico de un ácido tiohidroxámico cíclico donde R1 eshidroxi, halogeno C1-4-alquilo o C1-4-alcoxi, R es un C1-5-alquilo, C3-5-cicloalquilo o aralquilo;y el valor de n es de 0 a 4. Y el componente (b) espreferentemente un complejo metálico de un ácido tiohidroxámico cíclico de formula 2 donde A es un grupo -C(R2)2-, -C(R2)= o CR2=CR2; B es un grupo -C(R2)2-,-C(R2)= o -C(NR2)-; D es un grupo -C(R2)2-, -C(R2)=, -NR2 o azufre; R2 es hidrogeno, C1-6 hidrocarbilo sustituido optativamente o dos grupos R2, junto con elátomo de carbono al cual están unidos, forman un anillo hidrocarbonado -C3-6 o dos grupos R2, junto con los dos átomos de carbono a los cuales están unidos,forman un anillo fusionado. También seincluye un método para inhibir el crecimiento de microorganismos en un medio que es susceptible a degradacion microbiologica y en especial el uso para inhibirel crecimiento de deteriogenos de materiales de plástico en condiciones bajo tierra.
