Abstract

El invento se refiere a una pasta de cemento oseo inyectable y endurecible, a base de compuestos que contienen fosfato de calcio y que se asemejan a lahidroxiapatita bioresorbible, que contiene un antibiotico cationico en forma de sal, preferentemente en forma de sulfato, y que permite que el cemento oseoendurecido y biodegradable libere el antibiotico en forma sostenida durante un tiempo prolongado y en concentraciones biologicamente efectivas. También serefiere a un deposito de liberacion sostenida de fármacos a base de esta pasta de cemento oseo, a un procedimiento de preparacion de la pasta de cemento oseo,al empleo de un polvo de cemento en la preparacion de dicha pasta y a un conjunto de paquetes separados (Kit-of-Parts) quecontiene una cantidad definidade este polvo de cemento. Los cementos oseos del invento se adecuan para tratar las inflamaciones infecciosas del hueso y de la médula osea que se ocasionan,en particular, como consecuencia de defectos y fracturas del hueso.
