Abstract
Un proceso para la preparacion de un artículo de espuma en multiples capas, tal como un asiento automotriz. Se configura un molde de tal manera que lasuperficie del fondo del molde quede plana o inclinada hasta 40* con respecto al planohorizontal. La primera formulacion de espuma líquida disenada paraproducir una espuma blanda, se vierte en el molde desde una salida de cabeza mezcladora en franjas a través de la zona del asiento del molde, a lo largo dela línea paralela a, perocerca de, l a pared externa de la zona del asiento del molde. Luego, la segunda formulacion de espuma líquida disenada para produciruna espuma dura, se vierte en el molde desde la misma o desde una diferente salida de cabeza mezcladora enfranjas a través de la zona del asiento delmolde, a lo largo de la línea paralela a, pero más cercana a, la pared externa del molde, que la línea de vertido de la primera formulacion de espuma líquida.Luego se permite que la segunda formulacion deespuma líquida se ex tienda encima de la primera formulacion de espuma líquida, se cierra el molde, y sepermite que las espumas se levanten y se curen en el molde. El proceso produce un artículo que tiene un excelente área de asiento deespuma en capas.
