Abstract

Se refiere a un método para recubrir un sustrato utilizando una composicion de un solo envase, que se almacena estable a temperatura ambiente y que puedeconvertirse mediante curado en un recubrimiento termoendurecido al aplicarse calor. La mezclaestable en almacenamiento está constituida por, al menos, unabase Mannich y un compuesto poliamínico, se aplica a un sustrato y se cura a temperaturas elevadas para efectuar el intercambio y la liberacion de gruposamínicos de la base Mannich porr el compuesto poliamínico. La base Mannich es un producto de reaccion de al menos ai) un compuesto fenolico, aii) un aldehído yaiii) una amina secundaria, tal que cada grupo aromático de la base Mannich posee al menos dos grupos amínicos terciarios ligados a través de residuos dealdehído a cada anillo aromático del compuesto fenolico. El compuesto poliamínico es un producto de reacion de aiv) una amina primaria, que puedecontener opcionalmente grupos amínicos secundarios y av) uncompuestos epoxi que posee al menos un grupo(s) 1,2-epoxi por molécula. El compuestospoliamínico contiene ventajosamente más de dos sitios amínicos activos. Se refiere además a una composicion de un solo envase que es estable enalmacenamientto yno reacciona a temperatura ambiente y a un recubrimiento que cura rápidamente y es duradero y duro debido a que el peso equivalente delcompuesto poliamínico aumenta con compuestos epoxidos mientras al mismo tiempo aumenta el numero disponiblede sitios reticuladores aminas.
