Abstract

Se describe una matriz estabilizante para compuestos fotocromáticos, en la que se une un estabilizante a la luz de amina retardada funcionalizada,capaz de reaccionar con un grupo isocianato, con un sustrato de polímero por enlace covalente para formar una estructura injertada. La matriz resultantetiene un efecto estabilizante en relación con el tinta fotocromático, en particular, espiroxacinas. Se describe asimismo un procedimiento para laelaboración de un artículo orgánico fotocromático que comprende los pasos de: a) suministrar un sustrato plástico transparente; b) aplicar una capa de unacomposición polimerizable de matriz de poliuretano sobre al menos una de las superficies del sustrato; y c) polimerizar la capa dentrode un revestimientode poliuretano fotocromático. Los lentes orgánicos fotocromáticos constituyen artículos específicos de la presente invención.
