Se describen sulfonamidas herbicidas de fórmula (I), y sus N=óxidos y sales aceptables en la agricultura, mezcla y composición que las contienen y métodode control del crecimiento de vegetación indeseada. Dichos compuestos tienen la fórmula (I),dond e X, Y, J, R1 y R2 tienen los valores que se definen en lamemoria descriptiva. También se describen composiciones que contienen los compuestos de fórmula (I) y un método para controlar la vegetación no deseadaque consiste en poner encontacto l a vegetación o su entorno con una cantidad eficaz de un compuesto de fórmula (I).
