Abstract

The invention shows how individual machine tools or even complete transfer lines or flexible manufacturing systems can be constructed from few components for the most varied fields of application, and in fact at a cost which ought to be significantly less than the conventional manufacturing costs, for example 50 per cent less than the previous manufacturing costs, depending on the application. The individual components can be prepared separately and then assembled to form the machine tool desired in each case.
